About – Dramar Shipping

HISTORY

Dramar Shipping Trading group was founded by Mr. Cengiz Seren on March 23, 1984, in Istanbul, Turkey, as a perpetual entity and with a very broad mandate to engage in the business of investing in, owning and operating of ocean-going vessels and to execute all other functions needed to be performed in relation with the shipping operations. Since its foundation, Dramar Shipping has owned and managed number of ships in worldwide trade.

Our Goals

The Company sees its future prosperity in seizing the opportunities created in the bulk segment of the industrial markets. The Company intends to be an active as well as rapidly growing participant by concentrating its resources primarily in the handy and supramax size (30 – 63k DWT) bulkers.

The handy and supramax market with its ever developing potential for more stability, sustained growth and good profitability will provide the basic direction for the Company’s future involvements in Shipping. The Company will form long-term strategic alliances with Major Grain Traders and First Class Charterers active in the worldwide deep-sea trade.

Meet Our Key Persons

Dramar Shipping’s management staff is fully capable of handling the full functional requirements that the ship-owning and shipping activities entail. The overall management function, the chartering activities and the vessels technical management encompassing the day-to-day operations, physical maintenance and the crewing will be performed by the experienced managerial staff of the company

NECATİ DEMİRKOL

PRESIDENT BOD

Mr. Necati Demirkol graduated from Gazi University in 1984. He was member of board in “Galatasaray Football Club”, “Merchandasing” and also was chairman of Inspection committee in “GSIAD” & “Cukobirlik”. His main business in minning and agriculture industry. He is the owner of Emir Construction Company. His agricultural facilities are spreaded on various areas widely. He is acting as president of board in Dramar Shipping A.S. Mr. Demirkol is a member of the Turkey Jockey Club and served as a Member of the Board of Directors and General Secretary from 2010 to 2015. Horse racing, one of his longstanding passions, remains his favorite hobby. Mr. Demirkol is married and has two children.

CENGİZ SEREN

CEO, CFO, MEMBER BOD

He is the founder of the Company and the Member BOD. He is an Ocean going Master Mariner. He was a staff Captain in Turkish Navy with various assignments at sea as well as executive duties at NATO Headquarters. He is a graduate of Turkish Naval Academy and the Naval War College. He also holds a Psc. Degree from Royal Navy College in Greenwich, England. He is the principal shareholder and acting as chairman of the board.
